I went out to the house today for the appliance delivery. My jaw dropped when I opened the door and found carpet! I had been at the house yesterday afternoon around 2 and there was no carpet. I was very surprised when at 10 this morning there was carpet. Not just in the living room, but in all the bedrooms too. They were done installing and gone when I had arrived. So apparently there were carpet gnomes in the house installing overnight or late in the evening or early in the morning. The carpet is like the finishing touch on the house. I just sat in the living room waiting for the delivery guys in disbelief that this is our house. I can't believe that we are going to live here. It really is the perfect house for us.
Here are a few pictures of the carpet. The color is called "grain" and it is sort of speckled with a darker brown/beige color. It is almost exactly what we have in the apartment now and is great for hiding dirt.

The second highlight of the day. New Appliances. I am most excited about the SEXY refrigerator. It fit in the space perfectly!
The laundry pair. There is room to spare for a ironing board or possible a laundry tower. Eeeeee! :) I have to take measurements, but a tower would be wonderful. Its another place for storage, but the real reason I'd get one is for the pop-out rod for hanging laundry when it comes out of the dryer or hanging clothes to dry.
We are so excited to move. This next 2 weeks is going to drag on forever. We are meeting the builder at the house tomorrow for a final walkthrough. Then he will work on fixing the items on the punchlist that we create. I'm hoping that we can start moving boxes before the closing date to get them out of here and to make moving day that much easier.
