My Birthday was Friday. It was very uneventful. I had the day off, but everyone else worked. I hung out at my parents' house and watched TV for a while. I went there to add some music to my cousin's (Roni) ipod. She was in town with her little boy, Soren, from Wednesday through Friday. Then I went to JoAnn's to buy some yarn. Then I met Roni and Soren, and we went out to Medical Lake so they could see our house. Then we went to see my mom at her (and Mike's) work. Roni had never been out there, so we did a tour of the kitchen and my mom's office and stole some candy. Then Roni and Soren had to head back home to Seattle.
After I got home, Mike and I had dinner. Nothing special, just (all natural, uncured) hot dogs.
A little later, my mom, Sachi and Kamron showed up with cake. Earlier in the day, I saw Kamron and Sachi told him it was my birthday. He got so excited, then he became very concerned and told me that no one got me a cake. They hadn't even ordered one. It was so cute what a big deal it was that I didn't have a cake. So that was why they brought a cake over. I would have been fine without cake, but Kamron insisted.

The Cake. Scrumptious. White cake with raspberry? filling and super tasty frosting. From Albertson's.
A gift from Roni. The back says "Birds of a feather, flock together." I am so loving birds right now, they're so cute and springy.
The gift from my mom, specially decorated by Kamron.
He's so good at drawing skulls and cross-bones.
The gift from my mom. A "green pan" broiler pan. No pan cleans up easier than a "green pan". I have a couple "Martha Stewart" "green pans", one of which is a grill pan. And I've got a "green pan" wok, that my mom gave me for Christmas. They are absolutely wonderful. They are non-stick without all the bad stuff that comes with "teflon". These are FTFE free and made without the use of PFOA. They are more efficient than traditional pans, using 20% less heat and time to cook. I'm slowly piecing together a set of "green pans" to replace my other pots and pans. Although, I don't think I can ever give up my cast iron.
