Mike drove by the house today and sent me a picture saying "we got a tree". I looked at the picture and it looked like there was grass too. I had to ask "grass too? Is that our house?" and he replied "yes". I couldn't believe it. The front landscaping was not part of our deal. We had to choose either the A/C unit or landscaping. We chose A/C and it was installed a couple of weeks ago. So, unless they decide to dig up the yard, it looks like we get both! I'm pretty sure they can't charge us for it now. The contract has already been written up and signed. The only downside to this is that now we HAVE to buy a lawnmower. Whereas before it would have been a few months before the lawn was long enough to need mowing. Oh well.
More good news. I was going to be working in Anchorage, April 25-May 1, then May 11-22, then May 24-June 12. Almost 6 weeks! I was coming around to the idea, only because we could use the extra money since we're buying the house. But now I'm probably only going for the first 2 legs of the trip and even that is questionable. I'm excited to be able to be home and get everything unpacked and actually LIVE in the house. Yay!

Here is the front yard. They did a good job. Now we don't have to worry about buying a tree right away. I'm not sure what they put in, but sooner or later, I'd like to put in a Japanese Maple or a pink Dogwood tree. Hopefully more sooner than later. It also looks like they put in a bush or two and some tall grasses. I didn't think to check, but I hope they fixed the stones in the front walkway and didn't move/lose them. I check tomorrow when I'm there for the appliance delivery!
